Greater Manchester Arts Prize 2017

I was pleased to be selected and shortlisted for the Greater Manchester Art Prize 2017; and thrilled to receive an award which will be formally presented at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.

“In 2016 Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce was delighted to launch a new annual arts prize thanks to a public grant from Arts Council England which we were awarded in our first year and sponsorship from the business community.

Now in our second year, the 2017 competition launched on Monday 30th January 2017.  The prize is open to practising semi-professional and professional artists working or living in one of the 10 local authorities across Greater Manchester.”

The prize has been created to provide a platform for emerging contemporary visual artists to become connected to the region’s business community, help provide opportunities for artists to be recognised on a national/international scale and help retain artistic talent in our area."

The Exhibition is open to the public on 19th, 26th May & 2nd June register here to visit the show.
