ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE //

The Artist Support Pledge is a movement that was started in 2020 by artist Matthew Burrows. It aims to support artists, especially in times when their income is uncertain or limited, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pledge encourages artists to sell their artwork for a specific price point—typically under £220—and when they reach £1,000 in sales, they pledge to buy another artist's work.

The goal is to create a cycle of support within the artist community, where artists help each other financially and promote each other's work. It’s a way of fostering solidarity and ensuring that artists continue to have a platform to sell and support each other’s careers. The pledge has grown significantly and is now recognised worldwide.

It's also a great way for art collectors and buyers to find affordable pieces, knowing that their purchase is directly helping another artist.

“I am delighted to offer this limited collection of small works as part of the Artist Support Pledge, an initiative I’ve proudly supported for many years. It’s truly rewarding to not only contribute to the growth of fellow artists, but also to provide my supporters with an accessible opportunity to expand their art collection.”
