In October 2015 I was awarded a project space through Castlefield Gallery Associates scheme. After working on the Terra Memoria commission for the Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia for almost two years from conception to the finished piece; this space will give me the opportunity to test out new ideas and processes with a view to developing my practice. I am looking to experiment with the scale of my work, and with the materials and techniques that I have refined over the past decade. I intend to re-cycle old stretchers and de-construct previous paintings and I'm open minded as to where the test bed will take me. In a sense to take my work back to basics.... re-examine the initial pre-occupation with the breaking surface, push the process of my painting practice and allow new ideas to develop. Watch this space, I will be posting about the development of my work and further projects and exhibitions.
